California

We just got back from spending a wonderful week in southern California.  While there we were able to attend a BYU basketball game in San Diego, spend three days at Disneyland and California Adventure, visit Scott's grandma Dawn, pick oranges from grandma's tree, and spend a little time at the beach.  Here are some of the highlights-

Olivia loved the ocean-she did not care that the water was freezing and that she was soaked... I had to drag her out off of the beach...

Nate was a different story... he was okay until I took of his shoes-he did not like the sand on his toes or the cold Pacific water on his feet.

Here is the entire crew at Disneyland.  My parents and sisters Brittany and Chelsey came with us.   Chelsey is leaving for a mission on Feb 1 to Cleveland Ohio so we were happy to spend some quality days with her at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Nate was such a trouper- we dragged him around Disneyland and when he got tired he crashed.   He was really good the entire trip other than he didn't want to sleep at night.

The girls got to have lunch with the princesses at Ariel's Grotto.  While there they met Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, and Aurora.   They loved it.

You can't go to Disneyland and not eat Mickey shaped ice cream...
We met a lot of characters while we were there... this was my favorite part... watching Liv interact with each of them.  The first day we were there she saw Minnie across the way and broke out into a full sprint running toward her shouting- Minnie Minnie.  That moment was worth the entire trip.  Here she is dancing with Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

Before we left we had a little birthday celebration for Nate.   Here is a couple of pics of the celebration for my little one year old...

Happy Birthday Little Man

On his "birth day" one year ago...

And now he's one

I can hardly believe that he has been in our lives for a whole year- yet it feels like he
was always a part of it.
   We love you Nate!

Christmas

Despite a double ear infection (again) and an outbreak of Hand Foot and Mouth virus with Mr. Nate we had a nice Christmas with my family in Idaho.   Here are some of the pics from Christmas and the days before and after.

Liv was a wisewoman for our Nativity play.

Nate was a donkey.

Hand Foot and Mouth... this picture does not do it justice.  He had about 20 blisters on each hand and foot and then several open sores in his little mouth.
