Cereal...mmm?

The last several weeks Olivia has been a pill about eating. (I think she has a little bit of acid reflux that I am hoping that doctor can help us with when she goes to her four month check up on Thursday). I figured that since she wouldn't eat her bottle last night, I would try some rice cereal. Most of it ended up on her face. Something like this...

On another note- my sister Chelsey is staying with us for a couple of weeks. She is helping take tickets at the home show for Scott's company. It is fun to have her here. I worry that she is going to get a little bored with us old married people, but hopefully we can keep her busy. Livy loves her Aunt Chechi!

Memorial Day

One of the things that I love about being a banker is all of the federal holidays I have. When I worked at McDonald's all those years ago we were closed for two holidays: Thanksgiving and Christmas. When I started in banking eleven years ago that was one of the things that I enjoyed the most. In most years I have 10 federal holidays and living in Utah I get an extra bonus and have the 24th of July off as well. There is a big stretch between President's Day in February and Memorial Day in May, but it is well worth the wait as to me Memorial Day is the kick off to summer.

We had a great three day weekend. On Saturday we cleaned the house, ran errands, and got Livy a high chair. I think this is the last big ticket item that we need for awhile-babies are expensive (but worth every penny!!!) It is a little big for her, but as quickly as she is growing she will fit in it in no time.

I love this girl!

She looks so tiny in this picture.

I spent the morning wedding the flower beds while Scott watched Livy (I think he got the better end of the bargain) and then we went to the park to have a picnic. Livy loves to be outside- she loved the park, but I think the swing was a little to big.

Livy in the swing-just a little too big.

Look at those rolls on her legs- I wish my rolls looked that cute ;).

She Needs a Bow

Last Wednesday Livy and I flew to Boise. I was going for work, but since Chelsey was running in the state track meet we also got to watch her team take the state championship. It was a little sad because this will be our last trip to Boise for the state track meet. Chelsey is the baby in our family and she is all grown up now and will be graduating from high school on the 20th.

When I got back on Saturday I put Livy in this darling little shirt I got her at the outlet mall last weekend...

Daddy (who started out anti-bow anti-pink before Livy joined our family) said that the shirt was not girly enough and someone might think she was a boy- She needed a bow in her hair. I never thought I would hear those words come out of his mouth... it is amazing how such a little girl can change such a big guy.

A weekend away

Scott's parents have a condo in Midway that they kindly let us use when we need to run away for a while. Midway is only 45 minutes from our house, but it seems like a world a way. I am not sure if it is the beautiful mountains or the quaint farm houses and sprawling fields, but when I am there time slows down, I relax and after a couple of days there I feel refreshed.

This weekend our little family decided that we needed to recharge... On Saturday we went to the outlets in Park City. I have never had so much fun shopping! It is so much more fun to shop for a baby than shopping for me. Daddy even admitted he had fun. We spent way too much- but little Livy is going to be darling this summer. This rest of the weekend was spent watching movies, eating out, taking walks... being together just the three of us. Some of the highlights:
We finally got this girl's smile on camera.

Me and Miss Livy on our walk today. My 1st Mother's Day.

3 Month Pictures

My talented friend Laurel took this cute pictures of Miss Olivia. Check out more of Laurel's work here.

I thought this one was so Livy. A little diva with a temper. Although she is a really good baby most of the time, she lets you know when she isn't happy about something.

She loves her hands.

Our beautiful baby girl.

3 Months Old

(Sorry-video taken with my cell phone. Note to self - get a video camera!)

Our little Southern Belle is 3 months old today. She is getting to be such a big girl... she has found her hands and likes to clasp them together. This morning she was getting mad because she had linked her fingers together and couldn't get them apart. It was pretty cute. She also had started to talk to us and her zebra Petey that hangs on her car seat. Her hair is getting really long, but you can't tell because it is so curly. Sadly most of her 3 month clothes are getting too small. I had to buy new jammies this week, because she couldn't stretch her little legs in the other ones. It is so fun to see her grow, but at the same time I wish she would stay little just a little while longer.
