Corn,Camping and Cousins

One of the best things about summer is all of the fresh fruit and vegatables that we get to enjoy. Scott anxiously watches for the "green" corn stands to start popping up. The green stands sell corn grown by a local farmer in our little town and the corn is so sweet it is hard to resist even by this little girl...

This past weekend to celebrate the 24th of July (In Utah we celebrate the 24th of July as the day the pioneers arrived in the Salt Lake Valley) we spent part of the weekend camping on Magleby Mountain. All of Scott's family was there including Uncle John and his cousin Amanda (and her family) from California.

All of the Magleby Cousins.
I didn't get one picture with all of them looking my way.
Here are some pictures from our ride on the four wheeler. Olivia loved it. She laughed and squealed in delight until she finally fell asleep.

Also this week Olivia got a new cousin- Taylor Brooke was born on Thursday at 8:05 p.m.

Summer Fun

My sister Chelsey and I love the Harry Potter Books. We have stayed in line at midnight to get the latest release, held a week long Harry Potter movie marathon when she was in town last month, and have been talking about going to the Harry Potter premier for months. Wednesday night our wait came to an end. Since she lives in Idaho and I live in Utah County we decided we would meet half way at Brittany's in Brigham City. Here we are at the midnight premiere... nerdy Harry glasses and all. It was a lot of fun... but I am still recovering from four hours of sleep.
Since I knew we wouldn't get home until 3:30 a.m. or so I took the day off and Miss Olivia and I spent the day with Brittany, Emma, and Chelsey. They have this really fun community pool in Brigham City and so we took the girls swimming. Olivia loved the water... we are definitely going to have to spend more time at the pool.

Livy and Emma chillin' by the pool. Gotta love the shades!

5 month pictures

Here are Olivia's 5 month pictures taken by our talented neighbor, Dave Broberg- he did a great job of capturing her budding personality:

She is getting to be so much fun. To celebrate our anniversary Scott and I went to a Bed and Breakfast in Midway for the night leaving Miss Olivia with Grandma Magleby. I was a little worried that she was too young to be left overnight with someone else, but apparently she did great (and it was really nice for Mommy to get a full nights sleep). When we got back this morning she was so excited to see us, but mostly her daddy. As soon as she saw him she gave him the biggest smile- she is definitely a Daddy's girl.

At 5 months old she is... rolling over from her back to her belly, sitting up with a little bit of help, and has started passing things from hand to hand, she now sleeps in her crib instead of her bassinet by mommy and daddy's bed, she has started sucking on her thumb and loves looking at herself in the mirror. Over the 4th of July weekend she had her first stint with the stomach flu, which was no fun for any of us. Thank Heavens she (and Scott) are both feeling better. We love this girl!!!

5 years and 5 months

It is hard to believe that today we celebrate our 5th anniversary. It seems like only yesterday that we started our life together. In the last five years we have done some amazing things, but the best thing of all is this...

Our little Olivia turns 5 months old today. Above is her first picture with Daddy. I think she stole his (and my) heart the moment he laid eyes on her. I am so blessed to have them both. Stay tuned for five month pictures and milestones.
