16 Months

Mr. Nate is 16 months old tomorrow.   Although 16 months is not a milestone month he is growing so fast I have to document some of the things he is doing.

If it is possible he gets cuter every day- the picture above is his Easter pictures.  I have a thing for men in pinstripes and a little man with dimples is even better.  I think as his little personality starts developing it makes him all that more adorable. He is such a happy boy and loves to laugh. He loves when daddy or Livy tickles him and he laughs and laughs-  It is the sweetest sound.

He still loves to climb and recently discovered that the bar stools get him onto the counter and thinks that where he needs to be now-it makes me really nervous. I am waiting for him to climb out of his crib, but so far he hasn't attempted it yet. I am sure it is just a matter of time.

He loves outside. Now that it is nice outside we try to spend as much time as we can outdoors. He gets so mad when we have to go inside. He likes to play with rocks and could spend an hour picking up rocks and putting them into a bucket. He also likes water and if he finds a puddle he is right in the middle of it. We have been going to the park a lot as well and he loves the slides- not so sure about the swings and loves the sand.

He is "talking" a lot-most of it makes no sense at all, but he is saying: apple juice, thank you, bless you, sissy, no, momma, dadda, cracker, chicken.  He will also sign milk and more, but thinks that throwing a little tantrum is a better way of getting what he wants (thank you big sister).   He likes to yell and scream and roar- I really think he likes to hear his voice.

He wants to feed himself now and typically won't eat if I offer him a spoon or fork, but will eat if he can pick it up and can use the utensils himself. He does pretty good with them, but makes a huge mess. Oh well, all part of the learning process.

He is freakishly strong and very determined.  He knows what he wants and doesn't want.  He likes music and loves when we dance around the room or sing songs.   He is a momma boy and has now started to cry when I leave the room or when I leave him at school.  He still likes cars and balls.  He torments his sister whenever he can, but also loves her so much.

We sure love this little guy- he makes me smile and laugh every day.

Here is a cute pic of my two babies...aren't they beautiful!

Yes! They're gorgeous! He's growing up so fast. Miss you! Maybe I can see you sometime this summer. *fingers crossed* I have a lot of stuff this summer already but hopefully a trip to Utah will happen. =)
